Public Minutes of 91 st Steering Board Meeting
June 4th, 2015

1. Regular items
Open Requirements, pending actions and open bug reports are reviewed.
2. Beta release
The 2015 work plan is linked at: http://cern.ch/geant4/support/planned_features.shtml.
June 5th is the deadline for the beta release tags.
A patch will be issued (10.1.p02), synchronized with the beta release.
3. C++11 migration strategy
Plain C++11 will be allowed in the code after the beta release. Before this, only C++98 compliant code is allowed. Retroactive patches will have to be C++98 compliant as well.
The system testing will be reconfigured after the beta release to support C++11. Legacy compilers will be kept for retroactive patches only.
4. General paper
The first draft is nearly complete.
5. 2015 Collaboration meeting
Registration to the collaboration meeting is open and can be done through: https://indico.fnal.gov/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=9368. For practical purposes, members are kindly invited to register before the summer break.
The meeting will be made of 9 plenary sessions plus 7 parallel ones (with 2 sessions in parallel).
The Program Committee is being formed.
6. Web migration
A report on the web migration to Drupal-7 is made. No difficulties are anticipated at this point.

o Technical Forum, Apr. 2, 2015 @ CERN

o ATLAS underlined the need for ensuring multi-TeV physics coverage.
o CHEP 2015, Apr. 13-17 @ OIST, Okinawa, Japan
o The next CHEP edition is foreseen by the end of 2016 or early 2017. The conference will be hosted by SLAC and Berkeley.
o M\&C+SNA+MC 2015, Apr. 19-23, 2015 @ Nashville, TN, USA
o One day G4 seminar was given, and a general talk for application of Geant4 in medicine.
o The next conference session will be in 2020.
o Recent tutorials
o The first in2p3 supported tutorial took place in Orsay, May 18-22. There were 39 participants, 51 subscribed.
o MIT, May 26-30 had 61 participants, and more than 30 in waiting list.
o Alghero, May 25-29, in Catania, had 35 participants.
