==================================================================
- Regular items
- The open requirements, pending actions, status of long open bug reports, as well as physics and computing performance monitoring are reviewed.
- Issues on both physics and computing performance arose during the release phase of version 10.3 were discussed. See the next agenda item.
- Version 10.3 Release
-
For information: SVN has now reached more than 100000 commits !
-
Release 10.3 has been delayed for one week.
- The delay of 10.3 was due to hadronics code which was introduced to testing very late, after the fixed deadline and during the bug-fix release phase, together with 3 new data sets. This originated problems requiring additional time and effort to identify and fix.
-
Some other large code (DNA) committed at the very last minute in one block rather than granular committals has caused disruption in testing.
- The Steering Board agreed to enforce the rule that the last reference tag in a release should include all developments (including all physics developments), as it is foreseen from the release procedure. Following candidate tags should only address technical migrations and fixes.
- 2017 Collaboration process
-
Membership is to be renewed in January through the CA web page.
-
Each WG should make census to be finalized by the end of January. Each member will hence be contacted by the WG coordinators to provide his/her FTE in each WG he/she is involved in.
- New collaboration logo
-
Second-round vote among 4 finalist candidates ended up with three out of four which got exactly the same number of ballots (fourth classified was only one vote less).
-
The Steering Board will reiterate the process for the final decision and will announce to the Collaboration.
